About the Author

Dorothy Fletcher Bentley is a Web and Graphic Designer who has a lot of fun bringing her creative side to life through her adorable lil books. Originally from Ireland, Dorothy lived in Los Angeles, California, where she worked as an E-Communications Specialist at the University of California, Los Angeles, before returning home to pursue a career as a freelance Web and Graphic Designer.

When not working for her clients, Dorothy loves to write and has written and illustrated 9 children’s stories to date. Her books are packed with funny illustrations, subtle lessons about kindness, and plenty of spooky fun that both children and adults will adore. Each story features a unique character with a challenge, who overcomes that challenge with the help of great lil friends, good fun, and…….perhaps some tea and scones!

Dorothy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communication and a Diploma in Interactive Media, which involves a lot of computer work! She works and writes from her home studio in a lovely old stone house in Carlow. When not writing books she loves to get creative by making jewellery, acrylic painting, sculpting, and dreaming up more lil stories.

Dorothy’s books are available on Amazon worldwide and the Great British Bookshop. They have been performed for the Town Hall Theatre, Galway and the Backstage Theatre, Longford, by professional children’s storyteller, Cliodhna Noonan, of ActingUp Arts.

Dorothy is a self-published author. Her books are published under her registered business, ‘Belfard Books‘. Lil Horreurs is a registered trademark.
